A GLIMPSE
Known as an entry point to the world renowned Subterranean Underground River, Sabang is a secluded beach in Puerto Princesa City. A visually picturesque site, the beach is exquisite not only for swimming but for other activities as well with its fine sand. Other than the dramatic sunset, one can further explore Sabang as there are caves, coral reef, waterfalls and mangrove forest that one can discover and appreciate.
LANGUAGE
The predominant language is Tagalog, being spoken by 50% of the people; while Cuyonon and Ilonggo, as well as English are widely spoken.
WEATHER
Wet and dry seasons are evenly divided throughout the year. Seas are usually calm during the months of April to June. Humidity is high but annual average temperatures are comfortable at 27 degrees Celsius. Nights may be chilly during rainy days, especially in forested areas.
CLOTHING
Wear the lightest possible cotton clothes to beat the heat. It would always be comfortable to wear shorts, sleeveless shirt and sandals – no shoes and socks. Remember to always bring a hat, umbrella, insect repellant, sun-block and sunglasses.
VISA
Visa requirements vary. Please contact the Philippine Embassy in your country. The first 21 days is free for most passports so you can arrive in the country with no visa. An extension is available in Immigration Offices in Manila, Cebu, or Puerto Princesa. Make sure you dress up appropriately to see Immigration officers, and refrain from wearing flip flops, shorts or vest.
CURRENCY
Philippine peso (Php) is the national currency of the Philippines. Coins are in denominations of 5, 10, and 25 centavos, 1, 5, and 10 pesos. Notes are in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 pesos.
Cash and Travellers cheques can be exchanged in licensed exchange offices.

Hotels and resorts apply 12% Government tax and 10% service charge.
